Such a fun trip with a smaller than the usual tour group of people, the scenery and excursions are amazing. From the atmospheric Tintagel to the soft beaches of St Ives, plus the wonderful gardens at Heligan, Eden and Lanhydrock. Enjoy comfortable hotels with great breakfasts and watch out for the fun fact and joke of the day 😀. Highly recommended. read less

He allowed us time on our own to explore some places. The hotels were top class including some superb breakfasts.All in all a fabulous time had with a small group of only 10. Small size group, memorable accommodations, breath-taking scenic locations. David does a wonderful job of mixing history and humor. The weather was perfect! It covered all the highlights of Cornwall—delightful seaside villages, fascinating historic sites, and lavish gardens. David is a delightful and charming guide. He is very knowledgeable, adaptable, funny and genuine. I couldn’t ask for a better experience touring Cornwall. His attention to detail and the... read moreThis was an amazing trip through Cornwall lead by tour director David Warner. His attention to detail and the sites we visited made this trip memorable. I loved the small group size (max 14) as it led to a more intimate experience. We visited so many villages in Cornwall, each unique, we saw castles, historic sites and were able to wander at our leisure throughout the villages. David gave us guidance but then we had time to wander at our pace. It was a great mix of planned and free time. We stayed at first class hotels and ate lots of wonderful food. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting a deeper dive into the UK and especially the Cornwall area. I enjoyed this tour so much I am planning on doing his Tour 2 itinerary in the next year or so. read less

David has put together a varied and completely delightful itenerary with very knowledgable and interesting facts and history about Cornwall. Travelling with a small tour is SO much better than climbong in and out of a huge bus with 40 people. You will be gobsmacked by the stunning beauty of the Cornish coastline over and over. If you are lucly enough to attend a performance at the Minack Theatre you will never forget the awesome location, literally carved in a cliff looking out at the ocean. The hotels were very nice (and quirky!) , delicious full breakfast every morning, and a full but not harried tour every day. I think this tour is a bargain for the price and you will love the journey. read less

The most amazing tour of Cornwall My first tour with Dacey's was amazing, I loved it so much that I knew I wanted to go again,... read moreMy first tour with Dacey's was amazing, I loved it so much that I knew I wanted to go again, David is the best tour guide, so professional and organised and yet friendly and comfortable to be with. Imagine my joy when he offered the Revisited Tour, a chance not only to return to the delights of Cornwall but to visit some other places I wanted to see. I was thrilled to ride the train from Paddington to Penzance, such a beautiful journey, and to see Mousehole, Padstow, Boscastle, places I have only seen on TV, to stay in the Bodmin Jail, an incredible experience, and then the ferry to the Isles of Scilly. It was great being part of a small group as we were like friends and meeting up for dinner before the tour is such a nice touch. Many thanks to our wonderful Cornish driver Steve and his corny jokes, he was brilliant. I cannot say enough to describe how much I have enjoyed this tour, and who knows I may just go again. read less

We traveled to various sites in Cornwall including fishing villages, tin mines, legendary King Arthur's castle, and Jamaica Inn. We took advantage of a free morning in Bodmin to ride on the heritage Bodmin-Wenford steam railroad. David Warner is an excellent guide with patience and a great sense of humor. The group size of 14 people was ideal for getting to know fellow travelers. read less

The smaller size meant we all felt like friends at the end of the tour. I appreciated the pacing of the tour as David didn't fill up every moment of each day but still kept things interesting. Cornwall is gorgeous and at every turn you get sweeping views of the coast, a seaside village, or rolling green farmland. What a treat. Also, for those who love wildflowers, I highly recommend taking the May tour. Bluebells (and others) everywhere. The tour bus was comfortable and safely driven by our two drivers Ed and Steve. I appreciated being able to spread out on the bus and decompress between village stops. David was very attentive to our need for bathroom and meal breaks, and we were never without a place to rest when needed. David was friendly, energetic, humorous, generous with his time (often ate dinner with guests if they so desired) and extremely knowledgeable about Cornwall. If you like taking organized tours, this is the one to beat! read less

All of the excellent accommodations were en suite & included... read moreOur tour included 2 hotels & 2 castle hotel stays. All of the excellent accommodations were en suite & included a full English breakfast. Our tour had 11 members (max is 14) which made it easy to go where the big buses can't. David, our guide & owner of Daceys Cornish Tours, has a vast knowledge of the area & was able to tell us the history of much of what we saw. The highlights of the trip for me, in addition to the castle accommodations, we're Port Isaac, The Lost Gardens of Heligan & the hike & visit to King Arthur's Castle. The tour offers plenty of time to explore, eat a pasty or shop on your own while comfortably seeing everything there is to see. I also enjoyed visiting Lands End for the scenery and to see where the English Channel meets the Atlantic Ocean. What I didn't like was the visitor area, shops & food areas, which made it feel very much like a theme park. Plan for both wet & dry conditions because in Cornwall you never know what the weather will do. I suggest a light rain jacket with hood, umbrella & hat. I had all 3 & still got a little wet on an afternoon walk. You don't need hiking shoes but good, lace up, walking shoes make things more comfortable. There is no laundry service available so pack accordingly. You can do laundry, if necessary, when you return to London. You don't need fancy evening clothes for dinner. Instead pack a sweater or an extra layer for warmth. You may not need it but if do you will thank me for the hint. Cash is not necessarily king in the UK anymore. 99% of the places we visited took credit cards (some places do not accept AMEX). Taxis take cards but prefer cash. All that being said I wholeheartedly recommend Daceys Cornish Tours. read less
