An Incredibly Rewarding Tour of Cornwall My husband, daughter and I recently returned from Itinerary 2 of Dacey's Cornwall Tours. None of us had ever done a 'tour' and were wondering what this would be like-- traveling with a small group of folks we'd never met. We were very positively surprised! Our fellow travelers were easy to be with and eager to learn about Cornwall. David has a way of creating an atmosphere of ease and curiosity. He has clearly established solid relationships with people in the places we visited and they enjoy working with him. The selections of Cornish sites and coastal villages were beautiful and interesting. The tour has a great balance of being guided as well as time to explore on your own. I understand now, why people who go on his tours decide to come back!!

I am blown away with Cornwall and… I am blown away with Cornwall and Daceys Cornish Tours! The Cornish nature, culture, history, villages, countryside, coastlines and not to mention the local people welcome you in the best way. To top it all David is an excellent guide who loves Cornwall. He shares gladly and in the most pleasant way his huge knowledge and enthusiasm with everyone in the group. I highly recommend Daceys Cornish Tours - in fact I will be back for Itinerary 2 next year.

Our Dacey tour was everything and less Our Dacey tour was everything and less. By that I mean we did a lot but the days were not filled to the maximum, we had time to explore or rest for part of every day. David started out the day with a joke and a fact, a fun start to our mornings. He shared history as we traveled and led us to places with incredible views and history. The tour is a perfect blend of seeing many amazing sights while leaving time for you to venture on your own and view places at your own pace. To me the perfect balance. David would help find ways for each of us to get the most or as little out of an experience as we desired. Love hiking, he would show a way to go for an hour hike while others wished for a coffee shop for some down time, he had the place for that also. If you take tour 1, do not miss the Minack theatre! Yes it is at the end of the day, but well worth it. If you have mobility issues ask for a ticket near the top of the theatre, the acoustics were good high also. Our group was also fabulous coming together or going our separate ways and enjoying what we were doing either way. I truly enjoyed every day of my tour with Dacey.

I had a wonderful time visiting… I had a wonderful time visiting Cornwall through Dacey's Cornish Tours. The tour was well-organized and well-paced. I enjoyed being able to relax on the bus and/or train, and then to get out and explore the beautiful countryside. I would recommend visiting Cornwall - it is truly spectacular.

Dacey's Cornish Tours is beyond outstanding Dacey's Cornish Tours is outstanding. Easy, enjoyable, plenty of sights, sounds and adventure. Great selection of locations, hotels were wonderful, people on the tour were fantastic and Dacey is professional, fun, informative and insightful. I would not hesitate to book one of his 2 different tours. I was on #2, which takes the train across the country from London to Penzance. The Isles of Scilly are a feature on this tour and it is not to be missed if possible. 5 star from me and fantastic fun no matter what the weather or the temperature!

Beautiful Scenery, Great Guide, Good Hotels: Go with Dacey's for Cornwall! My husband and I are very glad that we went on this tour--our first small-group tour experience. We got picked up and dropped off in London (very convenient), had a comfortable bus for the whole week, and saw much more of Cornwall than we ever could've seen on our own. We also had the chance to meet some wonderful fellow travelers and have David as our guide. Highlights for us included the castle ruins at Tintagel, the beautiful rocky Cornish coastline (ever present), all the quaint fishing villages (get your camera ready!), and a stop at an ancient stone circle in a farmer's field. Oh: & wandering off on our own in Exeter, at the end of the tour, to attend a service of Evensong at Exeter Cathedral. The days are full--you see a lot--& the hotel accommodations comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised by how nice the hotels were. A hot & hearty breakfast is included every morning, and you're on your own for lunch and dinner. It's easy to stay with the larger group for the day but also easy to step away and do things on your own, such as we did with going to Evensong. David, the guide, is good at creating community within the group, and shares much Cornish history and many stories throughout the tour--as well as many suggestions for lunch and dinner. FYI: Prepare to get some exercise. Cornwall is very hilly, and as we heard (& experienced) more than once on the trip, What goes down in Cornwall must also come back up. People with mobility issues will find this tour challenging but not impossible. People without mobility issues will definitely get in their steps & cardio. But... all those steps makes the eating of Cornish pasties less of a guilty pleasure. Highly recommend for those who are curious about this part of the UK.

Don't miss out My experience was even more fabulous than anticipated. I deeply appreciated the balance between autonomy and the option to be more a part of the group. David's knowledge, which he shares so freely, as well as his stories added a great deal to the experience. Having planned a three-day visit to London just prior to the tour, I really appreciated not worrying about how to get there, where the ticket office was, or where to stay. Accommodations and travel were grand. Wonderful people on my tour. Great mix of people traveling solo and with someone. Highly recommend

Cornwall Revealed! I loved the variety of sites David showed us throughout Cornwall. His knowledge was deep and his enthusiasm was contagious for this beautiful party of England! Loved the views and breakfasts at the three hotels/castles where we stayed.

Cornwall, I am missing you already! I've wanted to see the beauty of Cornwall for myself since seeing Doc Martin. It was wonderful. David was a wonderful guide and entertaining too. I laughed a lot, I walked a lot, really a lot, saw amazing sites and learned much about all of Cornwall. I'd love to go back again sometime.

What a memorable trip What a memorable trip! I have two pieces of advice for my fellow travelers: 1) Put Cornwall near the top of your bucket list! The beauty of the coast and countryside made it reasonable to believe that you were in Camelot. Indeed, we slept at the Camelot Hotel, so believe what you will. The history (so ancient), the culture (food, drink, and music), and the genuine, kind, warm, and proud-to-be Cornish people we met all contributed to the experience. Be prepared for narrow roads and walking paths in a quaint, slumbering part of the UK. 2) Rely on Daceys Cornish Tours to make your visit. Admittedly, it’s the only Cornish tour that I have been on, but it is difficult to imagine a better one. It was selected because it checked my boxes: small group, small vehicle, good reviews. Our guide, David, was very knowledgeable and anecdotal. He’s certainly a people-person who interacted well with all in our group. He was organized, pleasant, considerate, and a perfectly wonderful guy to share a beer with. His humor made the travel time so enjoyable. The drivers were knowledgeable and funny, as well. I wholeheartedly recommend Daceys Cornish Tours.

I'd do it again! I'd do it again!! Just returned home from Daceys last tour of the 2024 season and I can't say enough good things about it. I've been on many guided group tours but this one was head and shoulders above the others. David is an excellent guide and knowledgeable about the inside details of Cornwall. He managed to bring a group of strangers together to become friends, without being too intense or invasive, and we even began to look forward to his bad jokes! David and Steven and Ed (the bus drivers) typified the humour, the friendliness and down to earth attitude of the Cornish people. I had wanted to do this tour for a long time, and Daceys Tours did not disappoint.

Beautiful, ancient world of Cornwall Just returned from a wonderful week of traveling the beautiful, ancient world of Cornwall, UK with David Warner, tour guide extraordinaire / owner of Dacey’s Cornish Tours. My interest in this area was piqued by The Doc Martin and Poldark series and I was lucky to find this small group tour. Each day was packed with the opportunity to discover and experience Cornwall’s culture, history, food, landscape and people while also getting to know the other participants on this small bus tour. David, having lived and worked in Cornwall for many years, was a fabulous guide. His love of Cornwall was evident in his knowledge of all things Cornwall and his desire to have us leave Cornwall loving it as much as he does. We stayed at unique hotels within walking distance to shopping and dining and were transported around Cornwall by 2 excellent drivers who managed the windy roads with ease. There was a lot of walking with hills and stairs, but we were told in advance what to expect and allowed other options as we saw fit. All in all, it was a wonderful tour, and I would recommend it wholeheartedly for those interested in experiencing Cornwall.

A Joyful Cornwall Tour Touring Cornwall under the expert guidance of David Warner (Dacey) is a joyful experience. His friendliness and enthusiasm are contagious, making the fourteen or fewer people traveling with him, singly or as a couple, a congenial group. The several costal villages on the itinerary are picturesque, and the verdant countryside is peaceful and beautiful.Transportation in a large bus on the first day and on a smaller Mercedes bus thereafter is comfortable, and with local drivers and David’s interesting, witty, commentary, fun as well .The quality of the lodging is excellent, and you are never far from a good restaurant. If a performance is available, a night at the Minack Theatre is special. The amiable atmosphere throughout is genuine. Overall, a touring pleasure.

I am so glad I decided to tour Cornwall with Dacey's Cornish Tours. David was helpful and informative from the moment I made my first enquiry to the time we said farewell. As a solo traveler I appreciated small group size and the balance of group activities and time to explore the different sites at my own pace. David has a wealth of knowledge of Cornwall and I learned a lot. Highlights included walking sections of the Coast Path, exploring Port Isaac and seeing all things Doc Martin, and a beautiful evening at the Minack Theatre complete with a spectacular moonrise. I highly recommend Dacey's for anyone wanting to explore Cornwall.
